Back live after 2 weeks of pain in the neck, litterally, that nailed me down. I still manage a couple of 13km training with the trainer 2.

THE FIT _

Perfect for the front and mid foot, weirdly loose on the heel and ankle, as others I tried lacing hard, but it hurts before it helps. This being said, I describe the fit as weird not uncomfortable. I laced normal-to-hard and went for it. And I must say feeling is still really good and loose-heel only strikes back when going fast downhill or when the heel get stuck in a heavy mud.
But if you're looking for support, forget about those shoes.

THE FEEL _

Man, I love 4 to 6 mm drop ! what more can I say, drop is good for me, fit is overall good, shoe is light, grip is pretty much what I expected. I think I did indeed find the right replacment for my old asics attack!
Cushioning is probably better on the front than the attack; namely felt going downhill, when landing on forefoot.
Heel cushioning is firmer than the attack but plenty enough for up to 30km trail runs.

THE GRIP _

These are no mud shoe compared with salomon speedcross. they even come short compared to the Adizero xt4 or the kanadia. but you would get a much better "roll resistance", perfect for mid season to summer trails when you want to get ready for type of terrain. 2 things I like about the sole: the roll resistance and the feeling landing forefoot downhill, thanks to the Y shape the lugs don't squeak and are less likely to rip off (like they did on the adidas raven namely)

yes I did try them out in mud, this is pretty much my only option out there ! :)
The lugs after about 50km, like new as you would expect
Left to right all for 29cm sole : adizero xt4, the thinest and most dynamic, harsh cushioning! asics trainer2, the allrounder! salomon speedcross best traction, the adidas kanadia, better traction despite similar density but watch out for lateral slides!
